Southampton Accepted a £3.5m offer from Trabzonspor. For requesting to buy Mislav Orsic, wing of the Croatian national football team who has only played 6 minutes since moving in January

Orsic, 30, joined the Saints in the winter for £5.1m under manager Nathan Jones.

But he was limited to just six minutes in the Premier League as a substitute. And two games in the FA Cup and League Cup where he failed to score.

Six months after he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Southampton, who finished 20th last season and relegation to the Championship. The club was willing to take a loss on him.

Turkey’s £3.5m offer includes bonuses. It was finally accepted after the previous bid was rejected.

Orcic is set to undergo a medical with Nenad Bilisa’s squad on Thursday.UFABET

He wants more playing time. And it is believe he will receive more in Turkey than at St Mary’s.

Indeed, Orzic was hugely popular in Croatia, scoring 91 goals in 214 appearances in all competitions for Dinamo Zagreb before moving to the southern English club.

His six minutes of game time was less than the deceptive Ali Diaa that Saints fans remember.

In 1996, Senegalese forward Dia told then-Saints manager Graeme Souness. That he was the cousin of Ballon d’Or winner George Weah.

He was given a one-month contract and came on as a 32nd-minute substitute for Matthew Le Tissier against Leeds in November. But was later substituted in the 85th minute for 63 minutes after a poor and embarrassing display.

Dia was then release two weeks later on his £2,000 contract.
